I Tried To Buy Bohdi’s Surfboard From Point Break For 25K and Didn’t Even Come Close

So a Stoolie emailed me a couple weeks ago and sent me a link to an auction for Bodhisattva’s surfboard from Point Break. I was instantly all in on it. After all Point Break is one of my favorite movies of all time. I owed it to myself to buy this. It would complete my Nantucket House that I don’t really own anymore. I didn’t care. I needed that hanging on the wall in that house. I was so serious about it I didn’t even mention the auction because I didn’t want anybody bidding against me. Well fast forward to last Friday when this went on sale. The auction house originally said they thought the thing would sell for between 4-6K. Ok I can handle that. Well when I got the text notification that the auction was live it was already at 22K. Hmm a little steep for a surfboard right? Wrong. If you want the ultimate you got to be willing to pay the ultimate price.. So I dropped my nuts on the table and started bidding. Let me tell you. 100% Pure Adrenaline throwing around that type of cash. Like every time I submitted a bid it could have said I won and instantly deducted the money from my account. I was all the way up to 25K cause I live to get radical when they flat stopped refusing my bids. What the fuck is that all about? Turns out it sold for 64K. In hindsight I’m kinda glad I got shut off cause that’s crazy money. But I wanted that surfboard so bad it was like acid in my mouth. Sucks. Oh well. See ya in the next life Johnny…

Looks like I’ll have to settle for wearing my favorite shirt we ever made.  Now back on sale
