Oops Email From Adidas: "Congrats, You Survived The Boston Marathon!"

Well… that’s one I think adidas would like back.

Am I crazy for thinking this one is on purpose? I’m not outraged, don’t get me wrong, but if I could pull the woke card here then I think this has to be intentional. It’s just too blatant. You can’t type “Boston Marathon” without thinking “bombing.” The two are wildly interconnected now. You simply can’t type that email subject without making the connection and realizing “oh shit, this is a poor choice of words.”

But, there’s no such thing as bad publicity and this email is VIRAL right now. It’s everywhere. No one is actually gonna boycott adidas but their name is on the tip of everyone’s tongue. People are googling it to see if it’s on the website too. People say Kanye saved adidas but this horribly worded email just kept it going.

It’s fucking evil if that’s what they did, exploit a terrorist attack to sell some track jackets, but this is too obvious to be a mistake if you ask me. Just trying to connect the dots here.
