Bubba Watson Takes A Jab At The Media Then Posts An Awkward Apology Video On Twitter

So. Awkward. Classic Bubba Watson situation here. He just can’t help but be Bubba. Which I would be okay with if he did it right. I’ve said from the jump that I just need Bubba to embrace his asshole side. Just go all in. The “writing articles is easy” would be a good comment if Bubba fully embraced the dark side and became the villain of golf. Instead, he does what Bubba always does, and tries to play both sides of the fence. He wants to be the good ol’ boy from the south when in reality he is an asshole by nature. Which again, that’s fine. The sports world needs assholes. Assholes in sports thrive. But he could not have backpedaled faster on that jab. Show me a person being less sincere than when Bubba says “I love all journalists”, you absolutely can’t. He should’ve doubled down on his comments. He should’ve said, “So what I said earlier is getting a lot of play in the news. I just want to come out and say………..I MEANT EVERY FUCKING WORD! You nerds sit behind your computers with your nerd glasses writing your nerd articles. I’m out here shaping golf balls and winning green jackets. Yeah I missed the cut but Augusta National already has my jacket size on file. Twice.” Bottom line is I just need Bubba to be who he truly is. I’m trying to help him.
