So this is the guy the Patriots just traded for. When the entire Colts organization was responding to their own failings with false flags about air pressure in footballs, sting operations and conspiracies. When the whole world was taking the cheese on the Fake News out of Indy, the NFL and ESPN. As Tom Brady was on trial for being a witch. Before we ever heard about the Ideal Gas Law or knew that Bill Belichick was a big fan of My Cousin Vinny. What was Dwayne Allen doing?

Being accountable. Refusing to buy into the false narrative. Respecting his opponent and admonishing himself, his team and his organization to do better. What a novel concept for a guy who’s team hung an AFC Championship Game Loser banner. But exactly what I want to see from a guy who’ll be lining up opposite Gronk for the next two years.

Dwayne Allen, this looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
