Leah Remini Says Tom Cruise Won't Leave Scientology Because He Has An Army of Servants And Travolta Won't Leave Because He Can Kill People

Esquire – [In the interview with Joe Rogan, Leah Remini] explains that Cruise has a staff of people who do his every bidding, people who “believe as a Scientologist that you’re working for someone who is single-handedly saving the planet… That’s an abuse that’s not justified.”

As Remini said, Cruise and Travolta are among the most powerful men in the organization. Travolta has a designation of Khakhan, she explains, that “basically says you can kill another human being. If you’re Khakhaned, you’re going to look the other way.”

“So, he’s allowed to kill people?” host Joe Rogen asked.

“Yes,” Remini responded. “It’s called ethics protection. There’s another policy called the responsibility of leaders, which he says that what you gotta do to protect the leader you gotta do it. If you see a body, you gotta clean it up.”

So you watch the South Park episode explaining Scientology or the Going Clear documentary on HBO or some of the various in-depth reported pieces on facets of the religion and it obviously all seems weird. They’re doing strange things that seem scientific but aren’t rooted in science, they believe in magical spirits, there’s a whole lot of things that you look at and go “How do people spend tens maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars buying in and obsessing over it?”

And then you hear “Oh yeah Tom Cruise has an army of servants who’ll do literally anything he wants because they worship him like a God” or “John Travolta and his airplane-man-kissing lifestyle can have anyone murdered no questions asked” and it starts to make a little more sense for those dudes being into this for decades now while the whole world thinks they’re crazy people. I mean yeah I don’t particularly love viewing the world through the prism of alien spirits controlling us or Thetans levels needing to be addressed by me holding onto some metal rod that generates electricity. But if you tell me the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is all of that shit and at least it all makes a little more sense as to why these guys who should know better are still all in. These dudes are living like pharaohs or at least very wealthy Saudi dignitaries if they stick it out and pretend the possibly deranged writings of a long-dead sci fi writer are legit…I’m not saying it rationalizes any part of it but it definitely makes it an easier pill to swallow.
