The Boston Calling Lineup Is Stupid Stacked

I’ll be totally real with you: I’ve never paid an ounce of attention to Boston Calling. To me it was always that cute little show they put on over at City Hall and I’d never once considered going. I don’t even know what past lineups were, I could be wrong but in my mind they were artists who I wouldn’t even go into my backyard to see live. I know this because City Hall was in my backyard and I didn’t go see any of them live. But this? This lineup is DOPE. Top to bottom acts I’d pay actual American currency to see. I didn’t know Tool was still a thing but after that it’s a wrecking crew: Mumford, Chance, Bon Iver, The XX, Major Lazer, Weezer, Run the Jewels, and Francis and the Lights are my big ones but there are so many names on there it’s kinda blowing my mind. I guess they moved it over to Harvard so they can have more space but this shit is like a real, big-time music festival now. Tip of the cap to everyone who made this happen because it’s stellar.

PS – I am still mad that Francis is so far down the list. There was a 5 week span a few months ago where I didn’t even consider playing a song that wasn’t on Farewell Starlite. He’s like an electro Phil Collins and he is a god.
