You Don't Love Anything As Much As This Dad Loves His Cube

This is my favorite random internet story of 2017. I know we’re only 4 days in but this takes the cake for the whole year already. Just a dude loving a giant silver cube for no rhyme or reason. It makes no sense whatsoever but also makes all the sense in the world. It just goes to how how crazy retired people can get when they decide how to spend their time when they no longer have anything to do. Being old and no longer having to work sounds super awesome but also seems more complicated than it seems. My parents are retired and they’re constantly looking for things to do. Even the smallest thing becomes the most important thing in their lives. Coffee or breakfast with friends becomes the biggest event on their calendar. So much so that they can’t stop talking about it. You know what my parents should do? Buy a cube like this old guy did. Why? I think you mean why not. That dad loves his goddamn cube. The best part is he doesn’t love his cube ironically. He’s not doing it for the laughs or to entertain his children. It’s a real, deep, true love. And that’s a love story I can get behind.

PS- A true LOL moment when I saw the cube wearing glasses. You can’t ask for better comedy than that.
