The President Of The Philippines Personally Used To Kill Drug Suspects From A Motorcycle When He Was Mayor

INQUIRER.NET – Just hours after declaring he was “not a killer,” President Duterte told a group of business leaders on Monday night that he “personally” killed drug suspects when he was mayor of Davao City.

Mr. Duterte said he rode a big bike—presumably his street-eating Harley-Davidson motorcycle—to patrol the streets, spoiling for a fight and seeking to kill.

He was defending his scorched-earth policy in the fight against illegal drugs for which he had drawn criticism from the United Nations, United States, European Union and international human rights groups.

Mr. Duterte said one-third of the nearly 6,000 drug suspects slain in his war on drugs were killed in legitimate police operations.

“I know it because—I am not trying to pull my own chair—in Davao I used to do it personally. Just to show to the [policemen] that if I can do it, why can’t you?” Mr. Duterte said during the Wallace Business Forum in Malacañang.

“I go around in Davao (on) a big bike and I would just patrol the streets and looking for trouble. I was really looking for an encounter to kill,” he said.

Your move Trump. Are you really going to let the president of the Philippines be the biggest badass world leader like that, right in your face? He wasn’t just the one doing the executing. He didn’t have goons and henchmen out patrolling for miscreants, rounding them up and bringing them to his office where he would innocently put a bullet in their heads, hands clean. He was on a motorcycle patrolling the streets for bad guys. Picking them off like target practice. As mayor. Take that Cory Booker! You think you’re helping the community by shoveling a couple sidewalks in a snowstorm? Try cleaning up the streets by making blood run through them! Try helping the community by gunning down drug dealers without a trial or any due process! Donald Trump and Corey Booker, a couple do-nothing Americans.

With a story like this, he clearly has a checkered past. It’s not like he’s going to have a tidy history and then suddenly gear up on a motorcycle and go out shooting people. And sure enough, earlier this year Duterte proudly admitted to shooting a student who was bullying him in school back in ’72.

From inquirer.net:

“I was a graduating student at San Beda when I shot a man,” Duterte said in Filipino. “I waited for him, I told myself I’ll teach him a lesson.”

Duterte said Goco bullied him over his being a Visayan. Muslim students also suffered from Goco’s bullying, he said.

Duterte said they were in the corridor and Goco was pushing  people around.

“I said you son of a bitch if I get hit I will shoot you. I was hit in the nose. Aaah! Bang,” he said.

Goco was hit, but not killed.

We can take this as a worldly lesson. If you want to shoot people and also be president, that is still very much possible. Just move to the Philippines.
