Shout Out To Brandon Jennings For Not Letting Willy Hernangomez Help An Opponent Off The Ground During Last Night's Game
Now THAT’S the Knicks basketball I grew up watching. Oak and Mase didn’t help out the Davis Boys when they were on the ground. They used them as a doormat. If anyone on the Bulls was on fire, nobody on the Knicks during the Riley or Van Gundy years would piss on them to put them out. Brandon Jennings is bringing some of that mindset back to The Garden which maybe, JUST MAYBE, could result in a tougher team.
But I’m not gonna get on my boy Slick Willy for trying to help Rondae Hollis-Jefferson off the floor. Slick Willy is still a lover, not a fighter. I bet every player in the Spanish league would have a rose in their mouth when they went on the court in honor of Spain’s greatest sporting legend, Don Flamenco. But those days are over for Willy. Now he’s in the big boy Association and looked awesome last night coming off a bench that can only be described as eccentric. A Stoolie asked what we should call the lineup of Willy, Sasha, Kuzminskas, Godzingis, and Jennings. All I could think of was the United Knations. We’ll workshop the name and just enjoy the hell out of this team when things are clicking.
