It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year: Time For Hockey Teams To Break Out Oktoberfest Jerseys
Just because hockey is the greatest, most pure, classiest game in the world where we honor respect, inteGRITTY, and heart… that doesn’t mean that the sport can’t be fun every now and again. Every once in a while, us hockey people love to let loose. Every once in awhile, it’s not just about hustling your ass off on a backcheck. I mean, you’ll probably still get chewed out by your coach if you don’t backcheck regardless of what jersey you’re wearing but still. EHC Kloten of the Swiss A League are here to remind us of all of that this season with their Oktoberfest-themed uniforms.
Now this isn’t an entirely new look by any means. We’ve seen Red Bull Munchen break out the Oktoberfest jerseys a few times in the past already.
As the late great Hans once said, “look good, feel good, sauce good. Now get the fuck out of my store“. If these European teams keep making Oktoberfest jerseys that look like a million bucks, then you don’t fix what ain’t broke. Plus, nothing says Beer League Hero quite like the combination between Oktoberfest and hockey.
P.S. – Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart are looking to join in on the fun as well.
You boys are both under 21. Would be a real shame if someone told Mr. Bettman about this……………………….
