Trevor Bauer Posted An Uncensored Video Of The Cleveland Indians Celebrating Their American League Championship
In case you missed it, Indians starting pitcher and noted drone enthusiast Trevor Bauer posted a video from his GoPro after Cleveland swept the Boston Red Sox in the ALDS. His newest video, after the Tribe defeated the Blue Jays to win the American League pennant, was way better — and no, it’s not because the first one was video documentation of the Indians dancing on my team’s grave. There was no bad blood in that series. In this one, you could tell that the players in that Indians clubhouse did not like the Blue Jays, or at least Jose Bautista.
The highlights in this one include making several trolling references to Bautista. The best one, of course, is Indians lefty Ryan Merritt taking out a pair of cowboy boots and shaking them, because Bautista said that Merritt was going to be shaking in his boots to face the Blue Jays’ lineup. He threw 4.1 scoreless innings against them, allowing just two hits. Bauer says to “Sign them and send them to Joey Bats.”
We’ve got plenty of references to it being Bautista’s birthday. Bauer says, “Happy birthday, Joey Bats,” while he’s putting on his “arm condom”, as he calls it, to protect his mangled pinky from champagne/beer getting in the open wound. Jason Kipnis says, “You stupid son of a bitch. You almost ruined it for us,” to Bauer, while the Indians were in the dog pile right after they clinched the pennant. I loved Mike Napoli telling Merritt not to wear goggles and to feel the burn of the champagne. That’s coming from a guy who’s been there before. Also, there’s a solid Dumb and Dumber reference in there. See if you can catch it.
