Dude Shot And Killed After Breaking Into The Colorado Football Offices With A Fucking Machete

Daily Camera – The suspect shot by police inside the Champions Center at the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field this morning following a report of a man armed with a machete has died, according to a source close to the investigation.

The call came in a little after 9 a.m. via text message, according to police dispatchers. Police responded to the Champions Center on the north side of Folsom, where part of the facility was reported to be on lockdown.

Around 9:20 a.m., police reported “shots fired” inside a stairwell, and said that the suspect was down. CU police have since announced a suspect is in custody.

Wild story out of Colorado today – dude broke into the football offices with a fucking machete.

Ed O’Malley pulled up to the Stadium Drive closure after he received a text from his wife saying she was in the building and had locked herself in a room.

“She said there was someone running around with a machete,” he said. “Then I didn’t hear from her for about 10 minutes. I got pretty nervous.”

Lindsey Ritz works in the sports medicine department in the building and usually is on the second floor of the Champions Center, but said she was working late today. She was on her way in when she heard.

“It’s definitely surreal,” she said.

Ritz said she got a hold of her coworkers and they told her they were fine, but operations would likely shut down for the day.
