BreitbartBATON ROUGE, Louisiana – A coalition of minority and gender studies organizations at Louisiana State University (LSU) are demanding that the university’s Dean of Students reprimand a campus fraternity for mocking Colin Kaepernick’s decision to not stand during the “Star Spangled Banner.”

The Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity (DKE) made headlines on LSU’s campus when they posted a banner to their frat house which read “Oh say can you see Kaepernick sits when he pees,” mocking the NFL player.

Now, the Coalition of LSU Student Organizations Committed to Community, an organization of gender studies and minority groups on campus, are saying the banner is creating a “hostile campus environment.”

“This is not the first time this fraternity has posted inflammatory banners,” the organization wrote to the campus’ newspaper, the LSU Reveille. “DKE has repeatedly displayed language and imagery on campus that many in the LSU community consider highly offensive, racist, misogynistic, and homophobic.”

Big time power statement by the Coalition of LSU Student Organizations Committed to Community. While they acknowledge the right to free speech…it doesn’t count when the speech is supporting the other side of the argument that they don’t like. And invoking the Louisiana floods?! Going right for the throat. Saying Kaepernick sits down to urinate is basically slapping the face of anyone who lost their home during a natural disaster. Well played COLSOCTC.

This frat has upset the internet before by the way, remember this one?

I don’t think there was a blog out there that was more supportive of Michael Sam than we were. And that sign is fucking hilarious. Just a daily reminder that you’re allowed to laugh at things still.

Heads up, you’re going to have to deal with a lot worse than “too-soon” jokes written on bed sheets when you hit the real world. It’s not one big safe space bubble out there unfortunately.
