BLOOD BATH, 2-0

Just an absolute ass kicking from start to finish. I’m actually a little embarrassed that Iowa State scored 3 points. They STINK. Like they might not win a game all year type of stink. I’m usually a little nervous whenever Iowa plays Iowa State despite records and personnel because it’s usually a close game. A rivalry game and all that. I felt zero of that this season because Iowa is really really good and Iowa State is really really bad. It’s that simple. The defense looked better thanks to Josey Jewell not getting ejected 3 minutes into the game this time. CJ Beathard is now 15-0 in his 15 starts and Iowa and one of the best to every play the position in Iowa City. He reached 4,000 career passing yards tonight and threw a couple of absolute gems to his favorite target Matt VandeBerg (7 receptions for 129 yards and a TD). Those two go together like cocaine and waffles. Also another stellar performance form the two-headed monster that is LeShun Daniels and Akrum Wadley in the backfield. This team is good folks.
