Justin Rose Sinks The First Hole-In-One In Olympic Golf History (Maybe)

That’s a guess. I’m just assuming that’s the first hole-in-one in Olympic golf history. It’s definitely the first one in 100+ years. Maybe there was one in the 1800s but nobody remembers. Courtesy of Justin Rose. As far as Olympic golf as a whole, I think it’s going pretty well so far? It just started so there’s a long way to go. The course looks better than I expected. I can already feel the narrative shifting from “Guys like Rory and DJ and Spieth are lucky they skipped the Olympics” to “How much do those guys regret skipping the Olympics?” Most of it comes at the hands of the announcers. They are laying it on pretty thick. Whether they actually mean it is another story. Bubba and Rickie are having a rough go of it so far so it’ll be interesting to see if people in the States give a shit if their own guys aren’t near the top of the leaderboard.
