Ozzy Osbourne Is Using The "I'm A Sex Addict" Defense To Explain Why He Cheated On His Wife

USA Today- The Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne saga took another strange turn Wednesday after Ozzy acknowledged he’s been a sex addict for years but he’s getting therapy for the problem. “Over the last six years, I have been dealing with a sex addiction,” he said in a statement to USA TODAY. What effect will this admission have on his teetering 33-year marriage to Sharon? She was emotional on her show, The Talk, saying she was proud of him for “finally” admitting it, but that it was “embarrassing” to talk about. But she joked through her tears. “He should call Tiger Woods for advice,” she said. (The pro golfer’s marriage broke up after a sex-addiction scandal in 2010.) Can the Osbourne marriage be saved? That was only one of the questions left unanswered by Ozzy’s statement issued Wednesday by his publicist, the Mitch Schneider Organization. Ozzy declared himself “mortified” and sorry about the pain he’s caused his wife and his lovers, among them his longtime mistress, celebrity hair colorist Michelle Pugh.

This is by far my favorite defense whenever a celebrity gets caught fucking anything and everything with a pulse. It’s the easiest card to pull. They’re a sex addict. It’s the oldest trick in the book. Tiger Woods did it years ago and now Ozzy Osbourne is doing it. What “I’m a sex addict” really means when a famous person such as Tiger and Ozzy says it is, “I’m rich and famous and people want to me fuck me so I fuck them. It’s super easy. End of story.” It’s not about being an actual sex addict. We’d all be sex addicts if we had access to the amount of sex that these guys do. All guys want to have sex with almost every girl we see. That’s just how our brains work. But for most of us, the pool of people who want to have sex with us is relatively small when compared to the pool of people who want to have sex with rich and famous people. Our pool is maybe a girl at the office, a girl drunk enough at the bar and ex-girlfriends. Tiger and Ozzy’s pool is literally the world. Hard to turn down the world. It’s actually unfair that celebrities have the same cheating standards as normal people.
