Thurman Merman Is BACK! Bad Santa 2 Is On The Way

Coming Soon - Broad Green Pictures and Miramax have just released several images from their upcoming Bad Santa 2, the follow-up to the 2003 hit comedy. Fueled by cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus, to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Along for the ride is ‘the kid’ – chubby and cheery Thurman Merman, a 250-pound ray of sunshine who brings out Willie’s sliver of humanity.

Ok, first things first, because we are all thinking it- comedy sequels never work out, they always stink, blah blah blah. We’ve seen it 1,000 times, but I’m a beaten housewife when it comes to them, I just don’t care. One day we’ll get an Ace Ventura 1-2 punch that finally ends the trend of bad sequels and by god I hope this is it. Bad Santa is without a doubt one of the funniest movies of the last 15 years. Side note- I first said “funniest movies of the last decade”…but it came out in 2003. We are old as fuck. But anyway, I love Bad Santa, it’s the perfect rewatchable holiday movie. You’ll never forget the first time you saw Lauren Graham screaming “fuck me Santa, fuck me Santa” or the first time you saw Thurman motherfucking Merman. But the noise from the shop how do they sleep!

One time for me, Bad Santa. One time. I have faith in Billy Bob Thornton. I have faith in Thurman Merman. This is going to be the holiday movie of the year.
