Hot Take Alert: Being Good Looking Can Get You A Job As An MLB Manager
I’m a sucker for a hot take, and this is a HOT take from MLB Network’s Brian Kenny. I’m not totally surprised that somebody came to this conclusion. I suppose I’m more surprised that it was Brian Kenny who threw it out there, because he’s the resident stat geek, who can’t complete a sentence without throwing in a baseball statistic that nobody’s ever heard of before. He’s definitely not afraid to fire off some hot takes, but they’re always statistically based. This take seems like it’s more up Mark DeRosa’s alley (and I love Mark DeRosa). I guess if you look at it, though, there are some good looking dudes managing MLB teams right now. But the one name he left off his list here that should’ve been right at the top is Brad Ausmus. Guy is a motherfucking STUD.
This also explains why John Farrell still has a job. Guy’s good looking. Boom. Plain and simple. He’s got one winning season in his entire managerial career, but he dates the hot reporter and looks like John Wayne. Job for life.
