NYDN- Aubrey Plaza knows everyone loves her — and she loves everyone, too. “I know I have an adrogynous thing going on, and there’s something masculine about my energy. Girls are into me — that’s no secret. Hey, I’m into them too,” the “Parks and Rec” star told The Advocate. “I fall in love with girls and guys.” After seven years of deadpanning as April on the Amy Poehler comedy, Plaza has taken on a starring role in “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates,” the raunchy rom-com starring Zac Efron, Adam Devine and Anna Kendrick. The actress said she got her start in community theater in Wilmington, Delaware. “There was this gay community there that really welcomed me. All my friends were gay,” she said. She knows how popular she is in the LGBT community and she said she fits right in.

There we go. That’s the news I needed to hear today. Just as it seems like the world is about to fall apart and 2016 is going to be the last year in human history, Aubrey Plaza comes over the top with great news. She says she’s into guys AND girls. Say what you will about 2016 (and there’s A LOTTTTTTT to say given the events of just the past week) but hot girls being open about their sexuality is pretty damn great. Everyone should be free to express who they really are but it’s that much better when it’s a hot girl. Does it do anything for me in the real world? Am I ever going to have a chance at a threesome with Aubrey Plaza and another girl? Of course not. That will absolutely never happen. But now I know that it’s at least a possibility for some other lucky gentleman out there and that makes me happy. If that day should ever come for some lucky guy, he represents all of us in that moment. And who knows. Maybe it never happens. Maybe Aubrey isn’t into that but it’s at least a possibility and that’s good energy to have out there in the universe. Props to you Aubrey for being the shining light on one of our darkest days.
