Bryan Cranston Has Signed On To Play Zordon In The Power Rangers Movie

What ridiculously amazing news. The Power Rangers movie has steadily gone from “oh they’re making Power Rangers into a movie? That’s cool…but weird” to “woah, this Power Rangers movie is going to be awesome”. And why is it going to be awesome? Because they are treating adults like adults and doing it right. This isn’t like those bullshit TMNT movies that they keep making over and over again that everyone hates. Bryan fucking Cranston just signed on to play Zordon. That’s how you know it’s legit. That’s how you know they’re taking this movie seriously. Cranston can take any role he wants, it’s not like he’s exactly hurting for work, and for him to want to join the Power Rangers movie tells you everything you need to know about the direction this movie is headed. He joins Elizabeth Banks, another Hollywood power player, in what has now become one of the most anticipated movies of 2017.

I was obsessed with Power Rangers as a kid. I remember going home from kindergarten every day (I have a freakishly good memory, it’s wild) and watching it. I had the Power Rangers trading cards, posters, you name it. As an adult, I’m obsessed with Breaking Bad. Now because life always finds a way, their powers are combining into one. Best childhood show and Heisenberg, making a big bang of movie magic.
