We just saw this last week when 23-year-old Mookie Betts of the Red Sox hit five home runs in back-to-back games in Baltimore, and less than a week later, 22-year-old Corey Seager of the Dodgers shows off a little power of his own with five home runs in one series against the Braves. Seager also homered this past Tuesday, so for the duration of last week, the shortstop hit .370 with a 1.037 OPS, 6 home runs and 11 RBIs. With 14 homers on the season, Seager is the only player on the Dodgers with double digit home runs, while leading the team in RBI (35), batting average (.286), hits (65), runs (38), and he’s tied with 24-year-old Joc Pederson for the team lead in doubles (12). It’s amazing to see how some of the best talent in the game right now is under the age of 25.
