The Eliminator: Free Foods At Chain Restaurants

Pick which one of the four you would eliminate

I believe the saying goes no food tastes as good as free food, with these four super foods being Exhibits A through D for that phrase. You are lying to yourself if you haven’t planned a trip to one of these restaurants based on the free food you get before your meal.

While chips and salsa may not be linked to as big a chain restaurant as the other three, they have been dominating table tops since the ancient Mayans were slinging that upgradable guac centuries ago. Actually I guess Desert Moon is technically a chain restaurant with free chips and salsa. And forget all those Pringles and Lays sayings. Once you get started with chips and salsa, you cannot stop. No way to eat just one. Plus it’s fun to say salsa.

Moving along, the Olive Garden breadsticks are the perfect temperature and softness every time out. Sometimes salted to high hell, but you still will go through a basket or two even if your lips are on FIRE. Probably my number 2 on this list. The Outback Honey Wheat Bushman Bread is good, but it’s that beautiful, soft sweet butter that really puts it onto another level. So while this may be blasphemy to some, the food I am eliminating is the Cheddar Bay Biscuits. They are good. Real good. But just not as good as the other three greats. Basically the Rajon Rondo of the 2007-08 Celtics.

And before we get to the vote, let me just say that I have never had the free cinnamon buns from Texas Roadhouse or the popcorn from The 99. Not sure if those places are not big in New York, the Northeast, or I’ve just never crossed paths with them, but these are the four I am going with.

So whether you agree with me or think I’m dead wrong, make your vote below.
