Andrew Miller Has Huge Balls And Will Pitch Through His Injury
This is how Championships are won. Teams that win overcome the obstacles thrown in their way and this is obstacle two. When we built this bullpen it seemed almost too good to be true and quickly we lost the backend for 30 games. Even with that, we still had the AL Reliever Of The Year to step in and fill that role for the time being, so there was nothing to worry about. Yesterday though we all took a deep breath because without Miller for an extended period of time, we could very well be in terrible position by the time Chapman and Miller returned.
Luckily for us though, Andrew Miller has a huge set of balls and is going to pitch through the pain. I don’t know if it’s him just being a team player, like he was when the Chapman trade happened, or if he read my post last night and found inspiration. He had every right to say “I’m shutting it down and getting back to 100%” but he didn’t. Instead he is setting himself up to have his cast sent to Cooperstown after this team wins the World Series.
PS: He probably read my post and found inspiration.
