Gotta Love Allen Iverson Dressing To The Nines For His HOF Nomination, Also Calls Steph Curry "That Light Skinned Dude"
TORONTO — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today, at NBA All-Star Weekend, three elite players, nine outstanding coaches, one exceptional referee and one record-setting team as finalists from the North American and Women’s committees to be considered for election in 2016. This year’s list includes seven first-time finalists: 27-year NBA referee Darell Garretson, nine-time NBA All-Star Allen Iverson, two-time NABC Coach of the Year Tom Izzo, the first African-American coach in a professional league John McLendon, three-time NBA Finals MVP Shaquille O’Neal, four-time WNBA Champion Sheryl Swoopes and 10-time AAU National Champions Wayland Baptist University.
And there you have it. Some things never change. AI showing up in his finest stone washed jeans and chains for the most respected honor of his professional career. If you couldn’t get this man (who famously would buy and throw away a new wardrobe on every road trip) to dress up in his prime there’s no way he’s doing it in retirement. Nobody is ever going to tell this man what he can and can’t do, and you have to respect it to a point. One thing’s for damn sure, we NEED more Iverson interviews in this life. He literally said nothing but meant everything in that one minute clip. Whipping out “Light Skinned Dude” then calling himself a “Certified Serial Killer” is on par with Sir Charles being able to say anything he wants and nobody batting an eye. Get The Answer in front of a hot mic more and allow him to piss where he pleases.
Watch this interview of AI with Shaq and Isaiah Thomas. And by “interview” I mean Iverson drunk crashing Thomas getting a few words with Shaq and them just letting the little guy do his thing. If he’s not hammered then that’s even worse. Let’s pray his body makes it to that payday at 40.
Also, spotted The Answer suiting it up at the Sixers game last week. This is the only thing I could think of and I don’t think it’s that far off.
