Can We Somehow Pin A Crime On Isiah Thomas Just For Posing With A Reputed Crip Member That Allegedly Murdered Someone?

NY Daily News- Ex-Knicks president Isiah Thomas’ name and smiling face surfaced in a Brooklyn courtroom Thursday in an Instagram photo of the NBA Hall of Famer alongside a reputed Crips gang leader accused of murdering a rival in cold blood.

“That’s Isiah Thomas the basketball player,” FBI special agent Christopher Campbell testified when the photo was displayed on several video monitors by a prosecutor at the violation of supervised release hearing for Larry Pagett in Brooklyn Federal Court.

The photo is accompanied by the partial caption, “The big homeboy Isiah Thomas was in the function wit tha…” and the rest of the text is not visible. The posting is dated Dec.Larry Pagett 11, 2014.  Pagett’s lawyer Lisa Scolari said she had no information about the origin of the photo, and declined further comment.

The accused gang banger is pointing at Thomas and wearing a Texas Rangers baseball cap in the photo, possibly the same baseball cap he was wearing in the early morning hours last Aug. 28 when he allegedly gunned down Chrispine Philip in the Budah Hookah Lounge on Flatbush Ave.

Look, I realize that just posing with a guy in an Instagram photo doesn’t mean you have any connection to him, even if it was possibly the same night that he allegedly killed someone.  I know that “Guilty By Association” isn’t a thing (right?).  But can’t a Knicks fan just dream for a second?  The team has won three in a row, already surpassed last year’s putrid 17 wins, and hit with the Godzingis pick.  Can’t things just snowball in a good way for the Knicks for once?  Is that too much to ask?  Because just having that son of a bitch at The Garden whispering in Dolan’s ear scares the hell out of me. Does The Zen Master know anybody in the FBI?  Maybe a Knicks fan Stoolie is involved in the case?  I mean Isiah DID murder basketball in this town for years.  He is due for some sort of comeuppance.  It would be like when they locked up Al Capone for tax evasion or O.J. for trying to steal back his memorabilia.  As long as Isiah ended up in jail, I’d be happy.

Also, how about the FBI agent saying that the picture is of Isiah Thomas the basketball player?  No bro.  In New York, Isiah Thomas is the Former Team President that sent the Knicks into NBA purgatory.  Maybe in the other 49 states he is the Hall of Fame basketball player.  But here, he will forever be Bum Ass Isiah.
