I Love That Luke Campbell Forbids His Kids From Seeing The New Star Wars Movie Because George Lucas Sued Him In 1990

Page Six- Rapper Luke Campbell, frontman of rude 1980s rappers 2 Live Crew, refuses to allow his kids to see the new “Star Wars” since George Lucas sued him for $300 million over trademark infringement and unfair competition in 1990.

“Every time I see a trailer, or an ad for that movie, all I can think is, ‘I want that mother [bleeper] .?.?. to give me my money back,’” he told Vulture.  Campbell’s former nickname and the name of his record label was Luke Skyywalker.

Lucas’ camp became concerned when the raunchy rapper gained fame with songs like “Me So Horny.” The song and group were so controversial at the time that Lucas demanded Campbell drop his nickname.  They eventually settled out of court for $300,000, but Campbell’s still bitter.  He told his kids, “If you want to watch that movie, you can buy it bootleg.”

I couldn’t be prouder of Uncle Luke for banning his kids from all Star Wars movies because of an old dispute with George Lucas.  You aren’t a true adult until you make your life and everyone’s around your miserable because of a grudge you hold.  Does it make your life worse while the other person likely doesn’t care?  Sure.  But there are principles in life and Luke knows it.  He didn’t add that extra Y to the “Luke Skyywalker” label to get sued by George Lucas.  Slightly changing things jussssst enough so you won’t get sued is what this country was built on.  So you can go fuck yourself for suing Uncle Luke, George Lucas.  And also for making the prequels and co-writing that last Indiana Jones movie.  But thanks for everything else.

Also, Luke allowing his kids to bootleg the movie is great.  Watch all the Star Wars you want, as long as George Lucas or Disney doesn’t see a nickel of that Campbell money.  That is the move of a grudge veteran.  And great news for the famous Asian DVD lady KFC and JJ are always talking about.
