The Canucks Trolled The Hell Out Of Rookies Jake Virtanen and Jared McCann Before Letting Them Know They Made The Team

That was A+ stuff right there. Having the video guy cut up 8 bad plays in a row while coach Desjardins skewers them in front of the team. So much better than being like “you made the team”. Virtanen and McCann were sweating bullets, just sitting there in disbelief, thinking their NHL season was over before it started.

It was a move straight out of Michael Scott’s book (no idea what is up with the quality, apparently this episode of The Office is from when dinosaurs were still roaming the planet)

And looks like it worked, because Virtanen’s first NHL goal was pretty sweet:
