Renton, Washington – Police responded to the intersection of Seahawks Way and Lake Washington Boulevard North this evening for a report of a one car collision.

Officers determined that at about 4:49 PM, a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette lost control as it drove southbound on Seahawks Way, struck a street sign, and came to rest on the north side of Lake Washington Boulevard North. The car sustained moderate front end damage.

The driver of the Corvette was identified as Seahawks player Frederick Jackson. He appeared uninjured but was taken to the VMAC so team personnel could evaluate him.

Early news releases indicated that Jackson was racing another team member and was removed from the scene by team security before officers could investigate. These reports are false. As of this time, there is no indication that Jackson was racing another vehicle. He remained on scene until officers could speak to him. He was polite and cooperative.

TMZ saying otherwise

Law enforcement tells TMZ at this point in their investigation, there is nothing to indicate a drag race. However, our witnesses insist both cars were driving at a VERY high rate of speed. We’re told the responding officer gave team personnel permission to take Jackson and evaluate him.

This may sound counterintuitive but if I’m a Seahawks fan I actually want Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch drag racing and crashing their cars. That locker room is a fucking mess. The team lost the Super Bowl in the most heartbreaking fashion imaginable, they did that weird Hawaii trip where Russell Wilson made everyone air their grievances on the side of a cliff capped off with a game of touch football on the beach, and they still suck this year.  So no you don’t want your starting running back drag racing the backup in most cases, but this is one of those times I think you do. The team that drag races together, stays together. And that Spinzone was free Seahawks fans, you’re welcome. Also, if you believe they weren’t drag racing then you also probably think Lance Briggs’ got his lambo stolen that one time it crashed with no one inside of it.

Just when I think I’m out, Reilly PULLS ME BACK IN!!!
