Things Are Pretty Bad For Maryland Football Right Now But Ohhh Shit Those Helmets For Saturday Are Fire

I expected nothing to come of this Maryland football season, and somehow it’s started even worse. Year 5 of the Randy Edsall Coaching Experiment has been an unmitigated disaster. Just feel pretty bad for the guys on the team, Maryland is working so hard to turn around the football program, but as I’ve written numerous times in the past, Edsall is clearly not the coach who should be in charge. The good news is they have one of their best recruiting classes in years coming in next season, so hopefully in a few years Maryland football will be on the up and up. They had a decent enough first season in the B1G last year, beating Penn State, Michigan, and Iowa all on the road. But they lost a lot of key players this year, and the wheels have fallen off a bit. The Terps were blown out by WVU, and then held a 6:45am player’s only meeting..which Edsall didn’t know about until he was informed on a Big 10 conference call.

But whatever. No expectations means you can’t get mad if they lose but you can get excited if they win. And it also means you can revel in being the back to back to back uniform champions of the world. Hand painted black ops helmet? That’s legit. Harbaugh is shitting his pants, amiright?

The best news of all? Basketball season is only 3 weeks away.
