(Source) One Portland artist found an – ahem – creative way to tell Donald Trump that his comments about women and menstruation are unacceptable: She painted his portrait in her period blood. Sarah Levy describes her red-and-white picture of Trump, who looks like he is speaking, as ‘menses on a matte board’ and has titled it ‘Whatever’. She intends for the portrait to send a message to 69-year-old Trump, and the rest of the world, that sexism is unacceptable, and also plans to auction off the piece to benefit U.S. immigrants.

‘I heard the comments he made to Megyn Kelly and I was outraged that he was basically using women’s periods not just to avoid a political question but also to insult her and all women’s intelligence,’ Sarah told USA Today. After the Republican presidential debate on Fox News, the candidate infamously said of Megyn, who served as a moderator: ‘You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.’

Most people interpreted the second part of Trump’s comment as an implication that Megyn was hormonal because she was on her period, and that was the reason that she had asked him ‘tough’ questions about the way he talks about other women. Sarah was offended by the comment, and on the last day of her period last month, an idea struck her. ‘It just made so much sense,’ she wrote in an essay for SocialistWorker.org. ‘It was outrageous to me that someone running for president of the United States of America – not just some small-state governor or a random rich guy, but president – could say what he did and still be in the race.’

While she was happy to see people tweeting their own anger at the entrepreneur-turned-politician – like the women who wrote about their own periods using the hashtag #periodsarenotaninsult – she thought the message would be more powerful if it was delivered in an even more humorous way. So, she collected her blood with a Diva Cup, a device that is inserted like a tampon and captures the blood, and then used a tampon and a paintbrush to create Trump’s picture, highlighting his pursed lips and wavy comb-over. ‘I could basically use it like watercolors with a paintbrush,’ she explained to USA Today. ‘I definitely recommend painting with your menstrual blood.’

Well then, that certainly is one way to have your point heard. Can I just say, as crazy as this lady is, to basically be collecting blood for the past week and painting with it, it’s actually a pretty nice painting. I mean it’s creepy and weird, I don’t care if it’s period blood or animal blood or whatever, painting with blood makes you a psycho no matter what, but if you’re going to go down that road, if you’re going to cross that threshold you better bring your A+ Vagina Blood paint game and Megyn Kelly did just that. You don’ t go weak to the hole, not in basketball and certainly not in period blood painting. She nailed it. Even got that puckered lips thing Trump does where his face kind of looks like an anus. So again, you’re gross and weird and creep me out and I probably hate you as a person but I won’t say you’re a bad painter, that would be dishonest of me.
Shocker of the year this lady is from Portland Oregon.
