THIS LEAGUE: James Franklin Had Crumbl Cookies at Virginia Tech's Signing Day Celebration After the CEO Helped Keep Kalani Sitake Away From Penn State

There is no sport in the world better than college football. James Franklin, who was fired by Penn State in October after many successful years and a deep run in the College Football Playoff just last season, had Crumbl cookies at Virginia Tech's National Signing Day celebration after Crumbl's CEO helped keep BYU coach Kilani Sitake in Provo, sending PSU's coaching search into a tailspin. There is no other sport that can give you this level of beautiful stupidity.

Sure, there is a chance that a large Crumbl order was already placed weeks ago for this event and everything just happened to fall into place perfectly. But I stopped believing in coincidences a long time ago. This came from the top.

And if Penn State doesn't figure things out quickly and somehow get this hire right after whiffing on multiple coaches, athletic director Pat Kraft is going to be seeing Crumbl cookies in his nightmares. He already has them showing up at the front door of the athletic facility, taunting him with the unmistakable pink box that may lead to his demise.

God bless college football.
