Sad Franchise: The Clippers Waived Chris Paul At 3 In The Morning While He's On His Retirement Tour

What a joke of a franchise the Clippers are. I know it's tough being an irrelevant franchise in the biggest market in the country, but what they're doing to Chris Paul needs to be studied. Chris Paul is the greatest Clipper ever. While they never got a ring, he made that team as close to a contender as you can be.

Not only did they tell this man they were "sending him home" at 3 in the morning, but their response was equally as bad:

It should have just read "Chris Paul is a legend on our team but because we're 5-16 and have no chance of winning in the next decade because our entire team is washed up veterans we're going to scapegoat the best player in our franchise history". What's the point? Why not just let him play 10 minutes a game while you continue to lose games and maybe you'll sell out games because the little of Clippers fans want to pay their respects to their GOAT?

It's worth wondering what Chris Paul would have done as a Laker in his prime. While he hasn't won a ring in his career, something that is a true travesty in the NBA, he probably would have on the better Los Angeles team. Sad stuff and I hope the Clippers know that karma is real.

"We will work with him on the next steps of his career". Listen CP3, you may not like it, but your only option is to call up Big Bro Bron and ask him if they've got a roster spot for you. It's a short drive from Intuit Dome to Crypto dot com arena and if you want your last chance at a ring while still getting to see the Hollywood sign, you come to the Showtime Lakers.

Good luck out there.
