Nebraska Track & Field Star Meghan Walker Just Signed A Deal To Wrestle With WWE NXT, So Let's Get Familiar With Her Talents ASAP
Cards on the table, I'm not even that a big of a WWE fan anymore.
But maybe that'll be changing SOON thanks to this recent NXT signing with Meghan Walker from Nebraska. Also, did you know Shawn Michaels is now "Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative" for the top minor league system in wrestling? Clearly, HBK knows what he's doing... Because this is elite grapplefuck #talent.
(SOURCE) - University of Nebraska track star Meghan Walker has officially signed a full-time developmental contract with WWE, moving from its NIL “Next In Line” program into the Performance Center/NXT system. Walker, 21, had been part of WWE’s NIL cohort while competing as a Cornhusker sprinter. According to multiple reports, her new deal means she will now relocate to WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando to train full-time.
In college, Walker competes in the 200m and 400m events and has contributed to relay teams. Before Nebraska, she was a two-time state champion in high school track in Brandon, South Dakota. Her path to WWE included a tryout during SummerSlam week, a key milestone that insiders say helped solidify her full-time contract. Walker’s signing is part of a broader talent push: she is one of three new developmental signees announced by WWE, joining Russian gymnast/pole dancer Jessica Bognadov and former Boise State running back Cyrus Habibi-Likio.
And I'm glad Track & Field athletes are finally getting the extra attention they deserve. They're arguably the most fit & built up of any core sport right? Salute their shorts!
Maybe it's just because I still daydream of Michelle Jennekke a little too often, it's a lifelong problem at this point. But she did get me through many a day during the #MiltonTough era. Those hurdle hips do NOT lie.
Plus who can forget that absolute rocketship from Texas A&M a few years back? Kennedy Smith. I know where she can take a billion seats…
Good to see she's landed on her feet!
I say, SIGN THEM ALL HBK!!!
And it does comfort me to know these new NXT prospects will be in good hands down there with Rough N' Rowdy's finest champion, Vicky D.
Give em hell out there Meghan! We're all rooting for you.
