'Best Quarterback I've Ever Seen' - Matthew Stafford's Absurd Season Has His Teammates In Complete Awe, McVay Trying To Convince Him To Play For 10 More Years

I don't think I'm breaking any news here that Matt Stafford is really fucking good. Dude is on a hot streak, setting records and looks like the MVP right now:

The dude is simply ridiculous. So much so, that his teammates are saying this:

[Source] - “Best quarterback I’ve ever seen,” said cornerback Emmanuel Forbes Jr. “He got crazy arm talent, the best ever in my opinion. … Anytime you’ve got him back there, you got a feeling you can win any game at any moment.”

I'm not going to sit here and tell you Stafford is better than Mahomes or Brady or someone like that. But, Stafford is a Hall of Famer. He's one of the best quarterbacks we've seen just on talent alone. It's not his fault he was stuck on some bad Detroit teams. He can't play defense, throw the ball and catch the ball. What I do know is people may have been onto something this preseason:

Then again it could just be getting Davante Adams, having a running game, an elite coach, Puka Nacua and roughly 42 tight ends who all can make plays. That's probably the right answer to go with Stafford playing maybe as elite as he has in his entire career. Throw in a defense that flies around and you get a team who people are picking as the Super Bowl favorite.

I don't blame McVay for trying to convince him to play for another 10 years. What's stopping him? He was cloned, allegedly, so he may feel 25. I said it before, but I'm glad everyone is starting to really embrace Stafford. He's one of the last true pocket passers the game has. Every quarterback now is a runner, gets outside the pocket on bootlegs and rollouts and it's just a different game. Stafford? He ain't going to run. He'll no look you to death, but he's not trying to be a dual threat.

Either way, Stafford is absurd. I want more Rams primetime games just so we all can keep watching him.
