It Turns Out The Grass Is Not Always Greener When You Leave Columbus, Ohio
So to go along with Jim Knowles getting his Head Coach fired just six games into the season after leaving Ohio State for Penn State, Chip Kelly got fired last night from being the Raiders offensive coordinator just 11 games into his first season in Vegas. And with Knowles now being on a lame duck staff that will get turned over at the end of the year, and Kelly sitting at home by Thanksgiving, I think it's time to remind everyone what I've said no less than a million times.....
The Grass is NOT Always Greener Outside Columbus, Ohio
Knowles and Chip couldn't last a year at their new position, meanwhile, Ohio State is currently 11 and 0 and sitting at number 1 in the country without them. Our offense has not one but two Heisman candidates from the numbers they’re putting up and our defense is doing things that no one has done since 1987.
And of course, with that, our coordinators names are going to be rumored for other jobs. Brian Hartline is up for the Penn State gig and I'm sure Matty P is going to have his name thrown around here soon too. And I guess what I just don’t understand is why getting paid very handsomely to be at a guaranteed winner, with substantially less pressure, isn’t the dream for some of these guys and their families.
Folks, Ohio State has now won 11 games in 13 straight seasons. Let that sink in. 13 straight seasons. Talk about job stability.

Well actually in 2020, covid hit and we didn’t play a full schedule, but we had an undefeated regular season, beat Clemson in the playoff, and went to the National Championship game.
So I guess the point of this video and this blog is two fold:
1. Chip Kelly on behalf of the Buckeyes, I’m formally offering you an analyst position starting this afternoon
And 2. Brian Hartline and Matt Patricia, think if Chip or Knowles wish they could redo that decision and be in your shoes right now
