Just Another Day For The Giants: Malik Nabers Decided To Go Off On The Coaching Decisions, Thinks 'Sometimes They Be Making Us Lose On Purpose'

I know it sucks to see your NFL team lose a game, any game really. We wait through the dog days of summer to overanalyze training camp, listen to reports, survive preseason and then have these 18 Sundays to enjoy together. There's nothing worse than your NFL team being out of it before Halloween. You have to embrace the tank, which is what I've done with the Giants. Be fun, be competitive, do cool shit, lose in heartbreaking fashion so I can convince myself that the draft pick is worth it.

But you know who isn't cool with that? Malik Nabers:

Of course. This is just another day for the Giants. Star wide receiver who is going to be wasted due to shitty quarterback play, injuries, MetLife turf and coaching changes? Yeah, probably pissed off that they keep losing. Now, this is what he's talking about. 4th quarter, 3:11 to go, the Giants ran Tracy to the 2-yard line. Incomplete pass, 4-yard loss on 3rd down and then went for the touchdown and didn't get it. We know obviously the Lions drill a field goal to go to overtime and then Jahmyr Gibbs is fast as shit and scored the first play of OT.

I don't necessarily disagree with going for a touchdown. You score there, the game is over. I think the bigger problem was not wasting more time. I fully get the clock in football is basically fake. Guys can kick 60-yard field goals with ease (outside of Graham Gano, because of Schoen), the new kickoffs make the field shorter, but you can force a team to waste timeouts. If anything I appreciate Kafka going for it and showing once again that Shane Bowen can't design a defense to get a stop from the opposing 6-yard line. Good reminder that Shane Bowen is the worst defensive coordinator in the league.

But, yeah, good thing we got Malik Nabers calling out interim coaches. They aren't going to be here long term so I don't think it matters. Let's just keep losing, finally make a smart draft pick and win some games next year.
