"I Guess Saquon Ain't The Same Player Either Then" -- AJ Brown Takes A Perfect Opportunity To Make Things Worse By Shitting On Saquon's Performance

For the love of god, can reporters just stop asking AJ Brown questions for the rest of the season. I get they have a job to do. I get that job is to get the story, and the biggest story surrounding the Eagles right now is AJ Brown being the biggest malcontent this city has seen since Terrell Owens. But just stop putting a microphone in front of this man's face, because he finds a way to make things worse every time he talks.

The issue with AJ Brown is that at the very core of his discontent with the Eagles, he's right. The offense has sucked all year. Not just AJ Brown, but literally everybody besides maybe DeVonta Smith has been brutal this year. And the offense shouldn't be content with getting carried by the defense all year. They should all be pissed off that they aren't playing to the standard they've set for themselves.

It has to be tough for AJ Brown to be right, but also so wrong at the same time. He has every right to be frustrated, but the way he's going about it couldn't be more wrong. Not to be the "just shut up and dribble" guy here, but just shut up and focus on trying a finally create little separation for yourself this year. Saquon's numbers are down more than anybody's this year, but he's not being a moody little twat week in and week out about it. There's not a chance in the world that Saquon Barkley isn't frustrated with the way this season has been going so far, but he's not going to act like a kid who just got their phone taken away from them for the week. Shit, I wish the Eagles actually would take AJ Brown's phone away from him.

I get the point he's trying to make here. Obviously the media isn't going to act like Saquon isn't a great player anymore just because he hasn't had the numbers this year, so why should there be speculation that AJ Brown isn't the same player anymore. The thought process there makes sense. It's another example of AJ Brown being right, but just wrong about the way he's going about it. Maybe he should try just saying his immediate responses to every question in his head first, and then give a more....team friendly response after. Because it seems like his biggest issue right now is that his filter is broken. Something needs to change here because we can't keep doing 10 more weeks of this.
