Jordon Hudson Just Put the Podcaster Who's Built His Entire Career Out of Talking About Her in a Body Bag With Just Two Words

I'll admit I've spent a fair bit of my time the last two years or so focused on the goings on of America's It Couple, Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson. I've done so for a number of reasons.

First, I have an emotional connection to both. Belichick and I share that bond that exists only between football coaches. He ofthe 50-plus year career at the highest levels of his profession. Me as the assistant defensive coach on a JV team youth football team for 12 years. That bond was only made stronger during the two years I interviewed the man face-to-face in my two years at WEEI, because finally he met someone who can speak his language when it comes to all the intricacies of the game.

Second, I can relate to Jordon because she and I are both proud graduates of Bridgewater State University. We fellow Bears stick together. But also because we have a shared respect for the most important man in our lives.

And finally, because as I've said from the beginning of their relationship, I'm a hopeless romantic. I'm in love with their love story. I make no apologies for that.

The thing is, while all this has been going on, I've been here every day talking about other things as well. Unlike this one Journo who's made a career out of it.

I'm not a consumer of Pablo Torre's content until he's breaking some news that can be considered blogworthy. But it certainly seems like he's been dining out full time on the love life of the First Couple of Chapel Hill. Which is a point that has been lost on basically no one:

And hey, more power to him. Plenty of Journos have ridden one story to a nice, successful career. Woodward and Bernstein with Watergate. Ted Koppel and the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Greta Van Sustern and the OJ Simpson trial. The difference being that these were all matters of national and international importance, or life and death. Not a private loving relationship between two consenting adults.

But nevertheless, it seems Torre has ridden that story for all it's worth. He may or may not be a One-Trick Pony, but at leas he's successful at it. To the point he's now an award-winning One Trick Pony. A point that is not lost on the subject of that one trick:

You can argue that perhaps Hudson might benefit from following the advice in her boyfriend's locker room wall that reads, "IGNORE THE NOISE." But then again, when he did decide to clap back at the media types harping on him and the critics who never let a little thing the truth get in the way of trashing him with some fake story, there was nobody better. He was like an insult comic who never failed to reduce a heckler to ashes where he sat.

So it would appear Jordon is not only listening to the haters, she's learned from the best how to deal with him. If there's an awards ceremony for this one, Pablo Torre should come to the podium, accept it, thank Jordon and Bill, and then in the words of Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes, fuck off. She's already said her piece.
