Pretty Sure All Of Scotland Is Hungover After Seeing The Parties Across The Country After They Made Their First World Cup In 28 Years

Another day where we got a ridiculous goal to send a country to the World Cup. This time it's Scotland and needless to say the country knew how to celebrate. Every video is awesome, but this might be my favorite:

Anytime you can start singing The Proclaimers like this, you simply have to. I know people will shit on the expansion to 48 teams and I get it. Expansion sucks. But we're getting stories like this, Curacao, Cape Verde and then I realize how awesome it is that these teams at least get to show up. Look at what it means to Scotland

This is why the World Cup is awesome. For most teams you go through this long qualifying process, just hope you have a chance to get in and it's all worth it. You end a 28-year streak and it gets even better. The whole country should be celebrating. I want nothing more than to have this feeling again in soccer:

Today is one of those days where the people in Scotland shouldn't have to go to work. Make it a national holiday because the World Cup is one of the few times everyone gets to cheer for the same thing. We spend all year cheering against each other in some capacity in sports, but the World Cup and Olympics? That brings us back.
