Solid Spinzone: Ja'Marr Chase Is Appealing His Suspension For Spitting On Jalen Ramsey, Arguing 'I Would Have Spit On His Face, Not His Jersey'
We all saw it. We all saw Ja'Marr Chase launch a loogie at Jalen Ramsey and a good old fashioned fight happen. Now we have Chase denying he spit, then a suspension and now his appeal. Really, the appeal is hilarious because of his argument:
Honestly, a sound argument. You don't spit on someone's jersey, you spit on their face. That's how you need to argue because it changes intention. Now, I think it's dumb, you can't be spitting on anyone. I said it before but if you spit on someone, you should have to fight. There shouldn't be any penalties for someone responding to a spit. It's probably the second worst thing you can do to someone besides a nut tap.
There's no way this appeal holds up, right? I don't think the NFL will sit there and say oh, well the spit did go to the jersey and not directly on the chin, go out there and play against the Pats. Pretty obvious the intent was there when we got the zoomed in video that everyone was posting.
I admire the ability to dig heels in and just lie. No need to worry about the millions of cameras and videos out there when you play in the most watched sport in the country. Just lie. Oh no, you have to sit out a game, Chase has plenty of money, it's not going to hurt his pocket that bad. I want him to keep coming up with new excuses and make sure they get out publicly.
