Jay Glazer Says The List Of Potential Giants Head Coach Candidates Includes Mike McCarthy, Matt Nagy, And Arthur Smith. Now Please Excuse Me While I Light Myself On Fire

Hand up, when I first saw the first three names on that list, I thought I was being trolled by one of those ragebait NFL Twitter accounts that knows the exact thing to make a fanbase lose their minds online. Nope, it's a tweet from my go-to Giants podcaster quoting the most trust NFL insider when it comes to Giants news out there, other than the infamous carpenter of course.

The worst thing about this list is that it is completely believable even if Jay Glazer wasn't the one saying it. You couldn't come up with a more vanilla list for the musty ass Giants franchise if you tried. They failed with a bunch of first time head coaches the last decade, they figured it would be a good time to bring in someone who had previous experince like this guy did before he won a couple of Super Bowls here before he decided to """"retire"""".

I'm not doing the Mike McCarthy debate right now. I know he has a Super Bowl, which was won with one of the greatest quarterbacks we have ever seen, and can build an offense. I also watched him fumble away multiple Cowboys games every year while the entire country pointed and laughed at them, which was essentially this gif on a football field.

Giphy Images.

Meanwhile Matt Nagy and Arthur Smith should be charged with war crimes for what they did to Bears and Falcons fans during their tenure as head coach to the point I think phone networks would crash from all the text messages Bears and Falcons fans would send to their Giants fans friends either to laugh or apologize to them.

I will stop watching football before I say a bad word about Spags. Lou Anarumo seems to be a good coach who clearly wasn't the problem with the Bengals defense considering what they've become since he left as well as what the Colts D is now. And Chris Shula is the defensive name du jour of this hiring cycle, which is cool since he's a McVay guy but also sucks since I am an Old who remember how much his dad Dave Shula sucked as Bengals head coach.

In the end, I'm just gonna rooting for Joe Schoen to get fired while also rooting for the Steelers, Ravens, and Browns to lose every game they possibly can so their coaches can get added to our list of potential hires if they get fired. I hate that this is my life once again before Thanksgiving. Then again, this all should be a reminder that nothing is going to change until the people that hire the GM make meaningful changes how they run this franchise, which we know they will never do.
