Bill Belichick Released A Statement That He Is Not Interested In The New York Giants Head Coaching Job Even Though I Don't Think He Was Actually Linked To It

Awwww mannnn, that was sad to read. 

I remember when the Giants first started down this path of darkness after General Coughlin was fired """retired"""", which led to the Giants head coaching job opening up every few years. And every few years, we would make a wish list of head coaches consisting of the hot shot coordinators and free agent leaders of men. Then at the bottom of that list, we would put the man who helped lead the Giants to glory in the 80s alongside Bill Parcells as a Hail Mary since his love of the franchise was very well known.

The Giants are still stuck in this football nightmare, which would usually mean Giants fans are sending out tweets of him wearing those sweet red Giants jackets and sweaters from Super Bowls past. However, nobody has done that. Partially because he finally bottomed out with the Patriots. Partially because he is a 73-year-old going through his own nightmare in Chapel Hill. And partially because he may or may not be dating a succubus that probably scares the SHIT out of the Giants owners even more than it scares the rest of us.

So yeah, when I do my semi-annual Next Giants Coach Wish List blog, I will not be including Bill Belchick on it, even if he didn't make this statement that he almost has to do so the remaining good Tar Heels players don't instantly hit the transfer portal to beat him out of UNC. 

At least he did the We're On To thing again. That was cute and reminded me of the good old days.
