'We Have These Guys That Are Kind Of Fanboys' - Adam Thielen Unleashed Hell On Refs, Makes A Plea For The NFL To Make Them Full Time

How quick do we think the NFL sends a fine to Thielen here? It doesn't matter that he's right and simply saying his opinion, we know how the NFL operates. This is going to be one of the quickest fines we've ever seen and it sure won't be cheap. Worth it though, because, again, he's very right. There's no reason that the NFL doesn't have full-time refs. That's the case for any and every organization, refs help determine the outcome of games, you need to make them full-time employees.

The whole quote gets even funnier when you remember this was Thielen less than a week ago

I'm not going to sit here and say the refs are going to have it out for Thielen this week after he called them fanboys, but I'm not going to be surprised if an iffy call goes the other way. I'm sure people will also react rationally when it comes to the handshake with Mahomes line. Not like people already lose their goddamn minds during Chiefs games, assume there's some tomfoolery going on with them and the refs. I never really bought into it, but there are thousands out there who will scream about it. This will just add to that.

I love this though from Thielen. Officiating as a whole has gotten worse, I think part of it is just reliance on replay. They know they have a fallback option, sometimes, since we still don't fully understand replay assist. If we have that and get this expedited stuff sometimes, why don't we get it on the obvious stuff all the time? Either way, if every player comes out and says this can they really fine everyone? I say we find out.
