"Everything Good? No. It's A Shit Show" -- AJ Brown Seems Less Than Thrilled With His Current Situation While On A Gaming Stream
It's been over a month at this point of AJ Brown making it abundantly clear that he's not happy with the way he's being used in this Eagles offense. To be totally honest, it's been close to a year. It was just a few days after the Super Bowl win that AJ Brown posted that winning a championship isn't the thing that drives him to be great. Instead, it's more about personally dominating his opponents. So between those comments after the Super Bowl, and everything going on this season? Well it's not like this clip should come as a shock to anybody.
If anything, this clip seems like a perfect opportunity to just mentally prepare yourself for the time when AJ Brown is no longer an Eagle. Because it's definitely going to be sooner than later. Like there's not a chicken dick's chance in hell that AJ Brown is going to end his career in Philadelphia. They were never going to trade him during this season, but we're probably watching the last handful of games that AJ Brown will play in an Eagles uniform at this point.
And that's fine. The Eagles have been super spoiled over the last couple of seasons to have to unbelievable receivers in AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. But if there's one thing that people typically overlook, it's that most teams would be lucky to have DeVonta Smith as their #1 option.
There are a ton of flaws with this offense. Kevin Patullo and Nick Sirianni have put together a masterclass on how to get the least amount of production out of the most amount of talent this year. But even with how atrocious this system has been, DeVonta Smith is still one of the best receivers in the game. It would be a much better issue for the Eagles if DeVonta Smith was the one who was trying his hardest to get out right now.
Unless, of course, things completely turn around over the next few weeks and AJ Brown starts to completely takeover games again. Because it seems like it doesn't matter to AJ Brown where he is, or what uniform he's wearing. All he wants is the ball, and he'd be happy.
