"Go Tag Beyonce And Tell Her To Get Me Right Man, Tell Her It's A Code Red" - Jaylen Brown Will Not Stop Until He Solves His Hairline Issue, This Time Asking Beyonce For Help
Chris Schwegler. Getty Images. So far this season, Jaylen Brown has been playing some of the best basketball of his entire life. That's nothing to sneeze at, considering the last time we saw Jaylen at this level, he won both the ECF and Finals MVP (not bad!). His ability to adapt and assume the role of the #1 option while we all wait for Jayson Tatum's return has been even better than any Celts fan could have imagined. The consistency, the production, the efficiency, the leadership, it's all been fantastic.
And while that's all been great, like with anything in life, it's come with a price. Unfortunately for Jaylen, that price appears to be his hairline struggles. At this point, it's been impossible to ignore as he continues to deal with his fugazi hairline being rubbed off on opponents who try and play tough physical defense, with the latest encounter coming the other night against the Wizards
As funny as these moments continue to be, by far the best part about all of this is how Jaylen is reacting/embracing everything. It's basically been a masterclass in not taking yourself too seriously and learning how to have fun with the whole situation.
So what's the plan after this latest instance? Simple. Hit up Beyonce and ask for help
From calling LeBron to trying to get Beyonce to save him with her Cecred products, this is exactly how you should handle this situation. Have fun with it! Don't get all defensive or try and lie about it. Instead, make jokes, be self-deprecating, you know, be an actual person. I think that's what I love most about this whole saga. We've seen athletes go the opposite route in the past and really, it only makes things worse. But this approach? Between the fact that he's just flat out funny, it's cool that in this new streaming world, we get to see a side of Jaylen we've really never seen before.
But as I said the other night when this happened, I'm not sure I want Jaylen to change a thing right now. The basketball he's playing is too good. Sure, it may make for some viral moments here and there, but what I care about is what he's doing on the floor, and for all I know this fake hairline is giving him additional basketball powers. So Beyonce, I'm going to need you to hold off on helping until we can get a little larger of a sample size. The NBA works in mysterious ways sometimes, and if this is what has to happen to unlock an even better version of Jaylen Brown the basketball player, I'm going to need you to ignore all the tags and messages for the foreseeable future. This guy, has been too good so far to change a thing
