Pasta Pots His 400th As Bruins Reel Off Seventh Straight Win
After starting the '25-'26 season with three straight wins, the Boston Bruins quickly settled back down to Earth with a humbling and ugly six game losing streak. After HC Marco Sturm blew his top, they had a nice 3-2 win over the elite Avalanche, before getting dummied by divisional rival Ottawa 7-2 on October 27th. But since that Kanata disaster and after last night's 5-3 win over the Leafs, the Bs have compiled 14 of 14 points with four wins coming in regulation, two in OT, and one via shootout.
Fans can quibble with what the team's front office did as far as acquiring skill but they sure can not say shit about the effort, heart, and camaraderie that we've seen so far from this team ostensibly being re-built on the fly. They're fun as hell to watch most nights, they stick up for each other, and they sure as hell look bought in.
And right now, the results speak for themselves...

While we are still two weeks away from Thanksgiving here in the States, the U.S. iteration of the festive food holiday is a rather significant indicator of just who will play for the Stanley Cup come springtime. Since the Wild Card Era of NHL hockey began, more than 75% of the teams in playoff position on the fourth Thursday of November end up in the postseason.
It's actually a pretty wild stat when you pause and think about it. It's slightly more than a quarter way yet fewer than a third through an 82-game regular season but three out of every four teams will be locked in come mid-April. As a Bruins fan, I couldn't be feeling any better about this team right now.
PASTA HITS 400
Boston's most charismatic superstar athlete David Pastrnak became the sixth Boston Bruin to hit the 400 goal mark with the historic franchise last night.
Bucci, our goal scorer savant after calling Ovie breaking 99's record back in the Mesolithic Era, chimed in…
And here's the man himself…
There was some chatter about Pasta's teammates leaving the bench to celebrate his 400th regular season NHL goal. Nobody could remember ever seeing it for a guy's 400th. But I think the impromptu team crease-crash was just indicative of how much love and respect the guys in the room have for happy and humble Czech sniper. Pasta's contagious joie de vivre keeps things loose in the room and makes him so damn easy to like.
I love my friends in Toronto but facts are facts.
WELCOME TO PARTY, COMRADE!
Nice to see everybody is starting to recognize the value in a crease-clearing, teammate-defending, not-afraid-to-take-a-penalty defenseman that every Cup-winning team just seems to coincidentally have in its line-up.
LOVE FOR CARLO
Brandon Carlo put in yeoman's work on the Bruins back-end for 689 games and was a model citizen who repped this organization impeccably so it was awesome to see this last night.
Nothing but love for Carlo.
I don't care what the F happens going forward. But right now, this Bs team has its fan base locked-in with playoffs fresh on the mind. Why the fuck not?
Go Bs!
