Wondergirl Carly Gives Dave And Go Go Greys Stable Their First Ever Win And She Was Awesome
"In my mind, she's my most talented horse."
That's what Dave had to say about Wondergirl Carly a few weeks ago on The Unnamed Show.
Good call, Dave.
Sent off at odds of 2-1 in a field of 8, Wondergirl Carly made her racing debut a winning one in Race 7 at Parx Monday afternoon. Jockey Samuel Martin always looked confident. He was able to get Carly in a great position off an alert start. She sat off the leader into the far turn.
Once the real running started, the race was over. Carly took command in the stretch and powered home an easy winner.
She crushed. Safe to say her owner was pleased.
You got $6 for every $2 you bet. And with a 50-1 shot running second and the favorite off the board, the $2 exacta paid $183.40. Nice score if you had it.
This is the first official win for Dave's growing Go Go Greys Stable. Carly appears to have a bright future ahead.
Great race call from my friend and track announcer Jessica Paquette - she nailed it.
What a debut from Carly. What a day for Go Go Greys. Now, can we get some merch? The people demand it.
Can't wait to see where Carly runs next. Based on the debut, the sky is the limit.
