RIP Doug Martin. Former Buccaneers Runningback Gone Far Too Soon.

Some very sad news today as former Buccaneers Runningback, Doug Martin has passed away. Martin was drafted by the Bucs out of Boise State in 2012 as a 1st round pick and burst on the scene, literally with 28 touches for 118 total yards in his first ever NFL game, a win against the Panthers.

Martin was known his compact build, ability to change direction quickly, and strength. All of which were on display on this outstanding run in 2015.

But Martin was probably best remembered for this incredible game at Oakland in his rookie season. 251 rushing yards and 4 TDs in his first game in his home town team.

The details of Martin's passing are not yet known at this time, but it is incredibly sad to see an athlete we all admired go far too soon. Doug Martin was 36 years old. My thoughts and prayers with his family at this time.
