The Greatest Ending In The History Of Tic Tac Toe Just Happened At Madison Square Garden
Some think League Pass is great because it gives people a chance to watch their favorite NBA team abroad. Others think it's because you can watch every Association game on the schedule. But the real ball knowers appreciate it because you can watch all the on court entertainment that takes place when hoops are not actually being played. I'm talking the Dance Cam, Red Panda, and of course basketball tic tac toe.
There have been blogs on this here site about awful games on tic tac toe where people flat out forgot how to play a children's game they've played their whole lives. However Kristian and Ghedalia gave us the most electric ending in tic tac toe history. I mean I don't even know how you can have a more exciting conclusion to tic tac toe than thousands of people at The World's Most Famous Arena cheering on two gladiators battling for a $500 prize and a Knicks prize pack that ends in a photo finish. The only wild tic tac toe endings I can remember is the rush that comes when someone doesn't realize they have the win lined up, put their letter in the wrong box, and you steal a victory from the jaws of defeat.
That was not the case here as Ghedalia proved that tic tac toe is actually the game of inches by willing himself to victory by wanting it more. At least that's what Ghedalia will say. But if I were Team Kristian, I would cry foul that he had to bend to get the ball in the beginning of the contest while one of the Knicks party patrol members handed Ghedalia the ball, which in essence handed him the $500 and the Knicks party pack. Even though we all know the difference is Ghedalia has that DAWG in him.
No matter what side you are on, I think we can all agree that we are happy that NBA basketball is back in our lives…so we can watch tic tac toe battles like this every night on League Pass.
P.S. The Knicks sat all their starters tonight while the Wizards have a bunch of rotation pieces sitting out thanks to a ridiculous preseason back-to-back. But the fans who attended this game left with a more incredible memory than 99.99999% of preseason crowds ever will on a night where most sports fans are happily watching playoff baseball and NFL football at the same time on their couches thanks to two of the greatest competitors I've ever seen.
