Good Luck: Year 3 Victor Wembanyama Is Currently Tossing NBA Players Like Children While Somehow Looking Like Prime Shaq

One of the best parts of the NBA season being on the horizon is the fact that we're just days away from getting Year 3 of Wemby. In the history of the NBA, Year 3s are usually around when players make their leap, and given how terrifying both Year 1 and Year 2 Wemby already were, it's wild to think about what might be coming our way this season.
We know he trained with KG, we just got the footage of him training with Hakeem Olajuwon, so to me that would lead most people to expect to see maybe KG's post up fadeaway and maybe a Wemby version of the Dream Shake. Adding those elements to Wemby's game would be pretty incredible to see, but what if there was another level we should be expecting with this jump?
What if Wemby's Year 3 also has him moving like fucking Prime Shaq?!?!?
Isaiah Jackson is 6'9 and 205 pounds. Wemby tossed that man aside like he was a goddamn child. That was always one of the questions around Wemby right? Could his frame handle the physicality of the NBA? Well, in Year 3, Wemby isn't just able to absorb NBA level contact, he's initiating it and tossing people left and right. If this looked familiar, it's because not too long ago we saw Wemby do the exact same thing to 7ft Luke Kornet during a Spurs scrimmage
Admit it, those plays made you double take for a second. It's an element to Wemby's game we really haven't seen so far in his NBA career. If he's going to move from a finesse style big to some sort of Giannis/Shaq hybrid? What the hell does that look like by say….Year 7 or 8 when Wemby is in his mid 20s?
Just in case you didn't forget, there's also this aspect of Wemby's game that is being paired with this new Shaq-like skillset
Serious question, what do you do? You can't keep him away from the rim, you can't leave him open from the perimeter, and if you try and rush to close out guess what? Wemby now looks way more comfortable attacking those closeouts and finding plays for his teammates, so we also have to talk about a playmaking leap when thinking about his pending Year 3
I know I say this a lot whenever writing a Wemby blog, but if you're a team with hopes of winning an NBA title in this current window, you better hurry up and figure out a way to get that done quickly before Wemby and the Spurs figure it out. Because once they do? Good luck.
